NW Columbus Macaroni Kid is teaming up with some local kid friendly businesses to do good and have fun on Presidents Day! The President's Day Party will take place on Monday 2/15 from 10am-1pm at Goal2Gold. We will be asking families to bring items to donate for The Family Mentor Foundation's Buddy Bags Program (see below) and the kids will have a fun opportunity to play! Parents will need to stay with their children for this event and there will be waivers for certain activities. FREE tickets will be available beginning next week.

The Family Mentor Foundation provides Buddy Bags to children in seven schools in Worthington and Columbus. Each bag has individual-sized, easy-to-prepare meals are that are distributed directly to the children, ensuring they get the food they need.
There are currently 250 local children who receive Buddy Bags each weekend with 1,200 children on its waiting list.

Funding for this program comes from individual donors, corporations, organizations and local food drives. Children, families and community members volunteer to sort and pack the food each month, providing a great community connection and allowing funds to go directly towards providing food to children.
