Tax Free Weekend in Ohio

By Alicia Amburgey, NW Columbus Macaroni Kid Mom and Publisher July 30, 2020

Starting at 12:00 AM on August 5th and ending at 11:59 August 7th, Ohio shoppers will be able to take advantage of the second annual tax-free weekend.  In addition to the tax-free weekend, many retailers are also running promotions to get your back to school shopping money.

Just don't plan on a major appliance or electronic purchases because those are not included in the tax-free weekend.

Items that are included:
Clothing items that are priced at $75 or less
Instructional materials that are $20 or less per item
School Supplies priced at $20 or less per item

There is no limit on the purchase total, just the price of each item.  For example, $15 backpack + $20 jeans + $25 coat+ $20 shirt= $80 and is tax exempt
