Based on the popular movie, Babe, and the classic children’s book by Dick King-Smith, The Sheep-Pig, comes Babe, The Sheep-Pig, which will be presented by CATCO is Kids March 1-10 and features 21 central Ohio youth actors. Find out below how you can win tickets!
This “tail” of farmyard adventure, accompanied by music, is full of heroes, villains and an adorable piglet, who charms his way to success at the Grand Challenge Sheep Dog Trials, with the help of his sheep-dog friend, Fly.
“Babe, The Sheep-Pig is a timeless tale that guarantees to generate laughs and warm hearts,” said Joe Bishara, CATCO associate producing director.
Written in 1983, The Sheep-Pig was awarded Britain’s Guardian Children’s Fiction Prize and was among more than 100 children’s books written by King-Smith, who was also a farmer for many years. In 1995, the heartwarming story was adapted into a blockbuster movie. It has been adapted for young audiences by David Wood.
All performances will be held in the Van Fleet Theatre, Columbus Performing Arts Center, 549 Franklin Ave. Tickets are $15 for adults, $10 for children. Showtimes for Babe, The Sheep-Pig are Fridays, March 1 and 8, at 7 p.m.; Saturdays, March 2 and 9, at 1 p.m. and 2:30 p.m.; and Sundays, March 3 and 10, at 1 p.m. and 2:30 p.m. Tickets can be purchased HERE
