Let Me Run Columbus will host their second annual SpringFest 5K, presented by Wells Fargo, on Sunday May 5, 2019 at 8:30 A.M. at Alum Creek Park North in Westerville, Ohio.

Let Me Run is a nonprofit wellness program that inspires boys to be themselves, be active, and belong. With a comprehensive curriculum that applies the power of running, the program encourages boys to develop their psychological, emotional and social health, in addition to their physical health.

The Let Me Run Columbus SpringFest 5K is the finale of the 7-week 5k training and wellness program for boys all over Central Ohio in which the community is encouraged to run alongside them and celebrate their accomplishments and personal growth.

This event will bring athletes of all ages and abilities together to support the boys of Let Me Run Columbus. Participants are encouraged to register in advance to receive the reduced rate of $25. Price increases to $30 on April 22 until May 4. Race day registration will be available for $35.

The 3.1 mile course runs through the beautiful paths and streets of Westerville and is perfect for first time 5K runners, as it starts and finishes at Alum Creek Park North (221 W. Main St., Westerville)

The Let Me Run SpringFest 5K is a family-friendly event. The day’s festivities will include music from local radio personality Dommy Huge Deal Styles (Power 107.5). Race sponsors will set up vendor booths for families to visit on race morning. Andrew Buck Michael, meteorologist for Good Day Columbus (ABC 6/FOX 28), will again serve as the Grand Marshal.

At the awards ceremony after the race, the top 3 overall male and female finishers from the public will be awarded prizes. Each Let Me Run boy will be recognized with a medal, as well as awards for the top Let Me Run boy finishers by age group.

Let Me Run inspires boys through the power of running to be courageous enough to be themselves, to build healthy relationships, and to live an active lifestyle. Since it was founded in 2009, the organization has grown from one team of 14 boys in Charlotte, North Carolina, to hundreds of teams, totaling 24,000 boys across 31 states.
