Seven Items to Pack in Your Theme Park Bag

By Sponsored Content from Robbi with Elite Travel Concierge July 18, 2019

I’ve been to theme parks dozens of times with my family. I’ve taken my children in strollers and baby carriers. Whether you are headed to Kings Island for a day or spending a week at Walt Disney World or a long weekend at Universal Orlando, here are some things I always throw in our bag:

1. Disposable Rain Ponchos: Don’t let a pop-up shower ruin your fun. Buy these ahead of time cheap. If you purchase at your destination, they are always more expensive. Extra ponchos can also make a handy seat if you need to pop a squat for a parade or a snack.

2. First Aid Supplies: Have a baggie handy with first aid cream, antibiotic ointment, and Band-Aids. Fix up a skinned knee or blister quickly on the go.

3. Cooling towels: These help cool you off quick for hot, summer theme park days. We like the little ones you can put on the back of your neck and place on your forehead for some cool relief.

4. Extra plastic bags: sometimes we pack these with clean, dry clothes and the extra bags are handy for wet clothes or helping with an unexpected mess.

5. Hand Sanitizer and Sanitizing Wipes: Theme parks have amazing snacks but we all know what happens when you hand your little ones a Mickey Bar in 90-degree heat. Wipes are handy for cleaning up that sticky mess on the go or an outdoor table that hasn’t been cleaned after the last guest.

6. Sunscreen Stick: a quick way to reapply sunscreen quickly to your littles.

7. Empty Water Bottles: Most theme parks offer complimentary ice water. Walt Disney World is installing a lot of drinking fountains with a bottle filler. No need to spend money on extra on sugary drinks when you can hydrate for free!
