Preschool curriculum

All of the lessons taught in the classrooms are aligned with the Early Learning and Development Standards created by the Ohio Department of Education. The curriculum promotes early literacy, foundational mathematical concepts, and other kindergarten readiness skills. In addition, St. Brigid Preschool creates play-based learning experiences. Children also experience Spanish, library, music, and gym.

Catholic faith identity

Teachers at St. Brigid create a Catholic faith-based environment by opening and closing each school day with prayer. Students make frequent trips to the church to discover and learn about the parts of the parish. They also learn about bible stories, the rosary, the Sign of the Cross, and what it means to be a disciple of Jesus. Catholic faith-based lessons are aligned with the religious standards created by the Catholic Diocese of Columbus.

Transportation options available

Saint Brigid of Kildare Preschool understands that parents may need transportation in order to send their children to their three-hour preschool program. Several local child care centers offer transportation to St. Brigid’s program. Some of them include:

Children thriving beyond preschool

Saint Brigid of Kildare School offers Catholic faith-based elementary and middle school education opportunities.  Many children begin their educational journey in St. Brigid’s preschool and continue to benefit from their faith-based atmosphere through eighth grade. Saint Brigid of Kildare Preschool focuses on preparing students to enter their full-day kindergarten program through their play-based and foundational academic curriculum.  As students progress in their educational journey at St. Brigid, they gain the academic, social, and Catholic skills to thrive in elementary school and beyond.
