Make an Easy Pool Noodle Sprinkler

By Alicia Amburgey, NW Columbus Publisher Mom May 7, 2023

Summer may not officially be here, but the heat sure is! With the warmer weather popping in, and the pools not yet open, one of our favorite ways to cool off is with a homemade Pool Noodle Sprinkler! It's easy, and takes less than 15 minutes! If you don't happen to have one on hand, the good new is the dollar tree has them out in all different colors!

It's so easy, even the kids can help, so be sure to get them involved and make this a family activity!

Watch this quick 60-second video for details or read below for instructions.

Here's what you'll need to gather from around your house.

  • Pool noodle
  • Heavy duty tape
  • Wine cork
  • Golf tees/Nails/or something easy to poke holes! (one for each child who wants to help)

First use the wine cork to plug the end of the pool noodle.

Cover it with tape to prevent any water leakage.

Use a golf tee to poke lots of holes in the pool noodle. (The kids can help!) For a longer water stream, insert straws into the holes.

Finally, insert the hose into the opposite end and turn on the water.

That's it! These sprinklers can work hanging or lying on the ground, so play around to see what your family likes best. Have fun!
