These delicious apple cheesecake crumble cones are the perfect dessert for any time of year. We especially love making them when fall is just around the corner! They are a great afternoon snack, or fun grab & go dessert for a party. Adults and kids alike will enjoy these uniquely made treats. You can sub the apples for Peach as well and it is equally as delicious!
Be sure to try them and share with your friends and family.
Ingredients
- 4-5 apples- peeled and diced (we prefer honey crisp)
- 6 medium sized waffle cones
- 1 box of cake mix, take your pick! We've used white, spice, and the new Cinnamon toast crunch cake (definite winner!)
- 3/4 a stick salted butter
- 1 ½ tsp cinnamon + pumpkin pie seasoning (optional)
Cheesecake Filling
- 1 cup whipped cream
- 16 oz cream cheese
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- ½ tsp lemon juice
Kitchen Gadgets
- hand or stand mixer
- 9x13 baking dish
- medium and large mixing bowls
Directions
Preheat the oven to 365°F.
Spray your 9×13 pan with cooking spray. Peel, slice & cut all apples into small chunks. Mix apples, spices, and cake mix, in a medium bowl. Hand toss to loosely combine. Pour the mixture into your baking dish. Take your stick of butter and slice it thinly. Place your slices of butter across the top of your cobbler mix. Place in the oven and bake for 40-45 minutes, or until the top is golden. Remove from the oven and cool.
Next, create your cheesecake filling! In a large bowl, combine cream cheese, powdered sugar, vanilla, and lemon juice. Whisk on medium-high speed until smooth. Once you have your "lump free" cream cheese mixture, carefully fold in your whipped cream until combined. Feel free to add more whipped cream until the texture is to your liking.
Now that all of your components have been made, it is time to assemble this delightful treat!
Take your cone and add alternate scoops of apple cobbler and cheescake filling until your cone is full. Get creative, and top with a drizzle of icing or melted white chocolate chips! Serve immediately and enjoy!
