These yarn pumpkins are such a gorgeous little fall craft project – they're an easy craft for kids to make, and are great for a table centerpiece or even a fall mantle display. You can use all different types of yarn and string! Most of the items you need can even be found at the dollar store!

Blow up the 12″ balloons until they are about half full. Keep in mind the bigger you blow the balloons, the more yarn you’ll need.
Tie one of the pieces of yarn to the end of the balloon.

Dunk one of the pieces of yarn into the bowl of glue, and swirl it around gently with a plastic fork to get it completely covered with glue.

Hold the end of the piece of yarn with your fingers, then gently run it between the tines of a fork to remove the excess glue.

Take the glue covered yarn strand and press the end down at either the top or the bottom, and wind it around the balloon. Make sure to press down on the ends of the yarn to secure them in place.

Repeat with the remaining pieces of yarn.

When you’re done, find somewhere to hang the yarn covered balloons to dry. This can take up to 24 hours, so it's best to leave them hang over night.

When you're ready to remove the balloon, press your fingers down under the yarn to detach the glue from the balloon. Make sure you remove any areas that may be connected, or the balloon will pull the yarn to the inside as it deflates.

Make a very small hole in the balloon close to where the knot is so the air slowly deflates. Pull the deflated balloon through one of the openings in the yarn ball.

Take your green and brown pipe cleaners and use them to make stems and leaves.

Display where you see fit!
