Let's make this super adorable St. Patty’s Day rainbow handprint craft
Supplies (we picked up ALL of our materials from the local Dollar Tree):
- black and white construction paper
- kid friendly scissors
- washable paint in rainbow colors
- paint brush, water, and paper towels
- glue sticks
- gold coin chocolate candy
- white chalk pen
Here's what to do!
1. Paint rainbow stripes on your child's hand. We did ours in the order of the rainbow (red, orange, yellow, green, blue, purple).
2. Press down onto top center of the white paper to make a rainbow handprint, and set aside so that it will dry.
3. Enjoy a yummy snack of Gold Coins! Don't throw away those wrappers!
4. Take the gold foil candy wrappers onto the white paper at the base of the handprint. We found it looked better if you overlap them a little.
5. Draw and cut out a pot shape from the black construction paper. Glue the black pot onto the white paper just below the gold coins to help make it look like they are inside the pot!
6. Use the white chalk pen to write “Happy St. Patrick’s Day!” on the pot of gold, and lay the picture out so it can dry
