The fun way to celebrate Saint Patricks day with kids – these Lucky Charms treats are a great snack kids can help make, and are perfect for school parties!

Ingredients to make lucky charms marshmallow treats

  • Butter – 4 tbs
  • 1 bag (10oz) of mini marshmallows
  • Dehydrated "Lucky Charms" marshmallows – You can find them at most grocery stores (we got ours from Trader Joes)
  • 6 c Rice Krispie cereal (or use a box of Lucky Charms!)
  • 9x9 pan

Instructions

  1. Line a 9x9 pan with parchment paper, set aside.
  2. Dice butter, and add to a large (deep) skillet and set over medium heat.
  3. Once the butter melts, turn the heat to low, and mix in the mini marshmallows, stirring regularly. Allow them to slowly melt until the mixture is smooth.
  4. Remove the skillet from the heat, and gently fold in first the Rice Krispie cereal, and then the dehydrated marshmallows.
  5. Stir until the mixture is fully incorporated.
  6. Add to your 9x9 dish and gently press in the mixture until it evenly fills the pan. Careful to not press the mixture too hard into the pan or the treats will turn out hard.
  7. Let it sit for at least an hour, cut, and enjoy!
