Create a Family Master Plan for the Dublin Irish Festival

5 Ways Families Can Get Ready to Ignite Their Irish Spirit Aug. 2 – 4

July 10, 2024

The 37th Dublin Irish Festival is the world’s largest 3-day Irish celebration taking place Aug. 2-4 at Coffman Park in Dublin. It includes a diverse array of entertainment and activities including incredible dance and music performances, Celtic canines, athletic demonstrations, Irish history and literary presentations, genealogy, shopping and lots of Irish food.

There are even more reasons to bring your wee ones to the Irish Fest. The Wee Folk area offers crafts, games, and Irish entertainment. Aspiring young athletes can participate in the Kids Highland Games. The Pot O’ Gold Playland features more than 20 inflatables and activities. The Festival offers a calming, sensory-friendly “Take-A-Break” space, which includes sensory activities and equipment. Families can also find nursing, baby changing and first aid stations.

For first-time guests and seasoned Festival goers alike, here are five tips to make the most out of your visit to the Dublin Irish Festival:

  1. Save a little green before you step a foot on the Festival grounds: Purchase tickets before July 21 when prices increase. Run in the 5K and Kids Dash presented by IGS Energy on Aug. 1 in Historic Dublin and receive a complimentary one-day ticket to the Festival. Children ages 11 and under receive free admission.
  1. Take the anxiety out of getting there: Bike, scooter, drive or shuttle – the Festival has everyone covered. Get $10 off a ride to and from the Festival using Lyft code IRISHFEST24.
  1. Plan your visit ahead of time: The 2024 award-winning mobile app is designed to bring every aspect of the Festival right to your fingertips and is the best way to stay connected with all the latest updates, schedules and interactive maps. Never miss a beat and download the app in the Apple App Store and Google Play
  1. Think safety first: To quickly reconnect separated parents and their children, caregivers can stop by the Identi-kid/ Dublin Police Safe Space located at the north, east, southwest and southeast entrances to obtain a free wristband that will display the child’s name, age and parent’s phone number.
