The Dancing With The Stars Live tour is a show you don’t want to miss. With its upbeat energy, fun tricks, sparkly costumes, and amazing music selection (with songs from Taylor Swift and Wicked) there is something for everyone of all ages to enjoy. There were little girls twirling in the aisle right next to our seats, dancing to the music right along with the cast. I felt like I was looking into my past seeing kids having the time of their life watching the tour of a show I grew up watching. It was such a dream to see this tour live - I think I actually gasped when the pros appeared on stage and I grinned like a madman seeing the Parent Trap handshake happen in front of my face by Meredith Blake herself. Each show has a special guest co-host or star, with Elaine Hendrix being Columbus’s. It was so fun to be present for her first night of tour.
Here are some tips/facts to know before you go! The show is split up into two acts, with each being about 45 minutes with a 15 minute intermission between them. At the Columbus show, everyone stayed seated for most of the show - which is great if you have children who wouldn’t stand the whole time! And the aisles were perfect for dancing if some little ones needed to let the wiggles out. The songs are pretty short and follow one after another with very little to no time between them. This really helps to keep kids interested the whole time as there is new music about every 2 minutes. Because there isn’t very much talking between songs, there wasn’t a time I ever felt bored. In fact, it went by too fast. I’m already looking forward to seeing them next time they go on tour!
