Columbus U-Pick Guide

Local Berry Picking Spots

By Heather Stitt, Publisher NW Columbus Macaroni Kid May 21, 2025
Looking for the best berry picking near Columbus, Ohio? There's nothing better than farm fresh produce straight from the farm! From juicy strawberries in May and June to blueberries, raspberries, and blackberries later in the summer, there are plenty of opportunities to enjoy U-pick berries throughout the season. You are encouraged to call ahead to confirm as weather conditions could affect the crop and picking availability— many local farms post real-time updates on their Facebook pages, so please verify with them before heading out. This list includes farms beyond Columbus to give you more options—and more dates—in case you miss part of the short berry-picking season. It’s a sweet way to kick off summer fun with the family!

Jacquemin Farms is a family-run business that provides the community with fresh, local produce. Last summer, I found myself running down the road to conveniently grab fresh fruits and veggies—it was such a treat to have their farm market so close by! They offer a U-Pick strawberry patch in the spring and a U-Pick pumpkin patch in the fall. Jacquemin Farms is passionate about connecting people to the land through their U-Pick experiences and farm market. Plus, they have a fun little coffee shop that is a hit at their Farm Market!
