Goldfish Swim School will expand its Central Ohio presence early next year with a new location in Westerville. The 9,700 square foot state-of-the-art facility will be located at 765 Brooksedge Boulevard in Westerville. Classes will start in early 2016 and families can pre-register for classes now at http://westerville.goldfishswimschool.com.
Goldfish Swim School offers developmentally appropriate water safety and swim lessons, and classes are offered mornings, evenings and weekends in a safe, kid-friendly and fun environment. The Goldfish team prides itself on teaching children ages four months to 12 years to swim in a unique, tropical setting with highly trained and certified instructors, small class sizes (max 4:1 student to teacher ratio), 90-degree pools and a state-of-the-art chlorine generation system. The swim school also offers weekly family swims and birthday party packages.
This unique approach has attracted families throughout central Ohio to the popular Dublin location and is propelling Goldfish’s growth in the market. Goldfish Swim School owner and water safety expert Lisa Armitage chose Westerville as the site for the newest facility after families who travel from across Central Ohio to Dublin expressed interest additional Goldfish locations the community.
“Goldfish offers a fun and engaging environment where children can learn swim and water safety skills that will last a lifetime, and it’s spurring our growth in Central Ohio,” said Armitage. “Not only are we thrilled to bring the best people, teaching methods and facilities to the wonderful family-oriented community in Westerville, but we believe in giving back to the communities we serve through our “Goldfish Gives” program, which supports local non-profit organizations, as well as local water safety sessions that we host at area preschools and elementary schools.”
Armitage, a former stay-at-home mom, said after her two oldest children learned to swim at Goldfish in Farmington Hills, Michigan, she saw potential in building a business based on valuable life skills every child needs, as well as the franchise organization’s proprietary programs, and leveraged her Master of Business Administration degree and marketing and sales background to open a Goldfish location of her own.
Armitage and her husband Steve decided to relocate to Ohio and opened Goldfish Dublin in March 2014. Now the Dublin location is one of the fastest-growing locations in the Goldfish franchise system, which has 24 locations in eight states.
The new location, at 765 Brooksedge Boulevard in Westerville, is located near the South State Street exit off of I-270 and will be a convenient location to serve the many families who drive from the Northeast and East side of town to Goldfish Swim School in Dublin.
