My recent experience with SHIPT

By Robbi S, Publisher NW Columbus Macaroni KId April 27, 2016
My recent experience with SHIPT:  I had the opportunity to try out the new home delivery service SHIPT over the weekend.  In the Columbus area, SHIPT works with Kroger, which is one of the grocery chains we shop at frequently.
Getting started with SHIPT was easy peasy!  I downloaded the app, and right away started my grocery selection. You can search the app to find what you need, or you can choose to browse through convenient categories.  There is also a nice feature that can provide you with meal suggestions, weekly sales information, and even ideas for sending a care package to a sick friend. After you finish entering your order, you can choose a two hour window when your groceries will conveniently arrive at your home.
Unbeatable Customer Service!  A couple of times while my SHIPT Shopper was fulfilling my shopping order I received texts asking about substitutions for some of the items that were unavailable at that particular location at that time. My SHIPT Shopper got everything correct on my order and even got me a great deal on one of my items. The SHIPT Shopper was extremely professional and courteous when they dropped my items off.
It was so nice not spending Sunday afternoon at the grocery store. Instead, I thoroughly cleaned out my car. Everyone who knows me understands that just getting all the clutter out of my car is a battle. I often say that I'm the worst stay at home Mom ever because we are always on the go and in my car . Our chariot collects sippy cups, jackets, socks (they are removed from little feet EVERY CAR TRIP), discarded toys from birthday party goody bags, the occasional bag of rocks from our latest outdoor adventure and piles of cereal bar remains. The hour (ok there was so much clutter it took me two hours) I was able to save by not being at the store was so helpful.
I believe that by using Shipt I saved time and money since I ordered exactly what I needed.  At the store I get what’s on my list, but I’m also tempted fill the cart with impulse items.
