Ohio State Chinese Lantern Festival

The Ohio State Chinese Lantern Festival will be open daily beginning on Friday, Nov. 25- Jan. 2 from 5-10 p.m . The Ohio State Chinese Lantern Festival, presented by Tianyu Arts and Culture, showcases Chinese art and culture through the exhibition of 39 Chinese lantern installations using traditional Chinese methods and more than 15,000 LED lights in brilliant colors. This celebration of lights and culture will feature the works of artisans and entertainers from China. Visitors will stroll through the park outfitted with illuminating lantern sculptures of animals, flowers and nature and holiday figures.
Each evening, the Festival's troupe of acrobats and martial arts performers will provide a glimpse of Chinese culture on stage. The performers have decades of experience one of them has over 30 years of experience of acrobatic acts. The acts vary each day and include: jar balancing; kicking bowls on a rolling board; Chinese face-changing; martial arts; and juggling with umbrellas. Live Show times are Sunday-Thursday – 6:30-7 p.m. and 8-8:30 p.m.; and Friday and Saturday- 6:30-7 p.m.; 8 - 8:30 p.m.; and 9 - 9:30 p.m.

Cost: Tickets are redeemable for any day of the festival and will be available online at www.ohiolanternfestival.com  Ticket prices are $15/adults, $10/children under 18 and free/children under 2. A family four-pack that includes admission for two adults and two children (18 and under) is available for $40. Admission for active and veteran military members is $12 (requires proper identification). Twelve-dollar admission tickets are available to Senior Citizens on Mondays and College Students on Thursdays throughout the Festival's run. A $2 discount per admission is available to groups of 15 or more.
